Creative Team Reveal for March!

The ScrapCity is Having a Contest!

Starting at 3pm CST today the 13th until Monday the 23rd at 12noon, I want you to earn as many points as you can.

Anyone can play (including Creative Teams).

Here is how you can earn your points, a lot of them you are already doing...why not get rewarded?
One Point for the following:
*Comment left in our gallery (more than one word, only 1 comment per creation counts)
*Comment left on our blog (more than one word, only 1 comment per blog post counts)
*Post on your own blog/forums about our upcoming crop (1 point for each)
*Post on your own blog/forums about this contest
*for every post on the forum on a existing thread
*for each upload in gallery
*for each comment left on a sponsors blog/site
*for each monthly challenge you complete
*for each crop challenge you complete

Two points for the following
*for each new thread started

Five points for the following:
*for every recruit (someone that isn't registered yet) you bring to the site and has has 10 posts by the end of the contest

This is all on the honor system. Please keep track of your points here. You can track them however you would like. Feel free to post your total in your siggy to if you would like.

Here's what you all will be playing for:
There is a ton of paper, over 100 6x6 sheets of paper, a ton of embellies along with a pack of corkboard to alter. I will also include gift card for $10 to either Target or Michaels (your choice). It's a great prize package!

The more participants...the better the prize will grow (Wendy will add even more goodies)! So, let's get going...invite your friends and let's get the board hopping.

February Reveal!

The Scrap City February Reveal! I had to share these layouts I created for thescrapcity.com!

I created these layouts using the "Best Friends" kit from digital designs by Nicole and Word Art by Bethany. These kits were so much fun to create with! Come check out thescrapcity.com!

I recently created this digital hybrid layout using the December digital add on kit along with her December add on kit. The snowflake was created using a page from the snowflake album that came with her kit. I painted Snow-Tex from Decoart on the snowflake let it dry and added the journal transparency.

Digital Creative Team Member! Whoo! Hoo!

I just found out over the weekend that I am a member of the 1st Digital Creative Team at thescrapcity.com! I am so excited I had to share!

Altered Gift Card Holder


I created this gift card holder using the Fancy Pants Happy Holidays collection, stampendous stamps, ribbon, gold cord, black ink pad, markers from Stampin’ Up!, small hole punch, liquid adhesive, ice stickles glitter glue, and adhesive runner. First I measured the front and back of the card holder, cut the pattern paper and then glued it down using adhesive.




I cut a sheet of pink paper, wadded it up using my hands and then inked the edges using a black ink pad. Then I created two ornaments to hang on the Happy Holidays tag on the front using a gold cord from Stampin’ Up! I stamped the images and colored them in using Markers from Stampin’ Up! I cut out the ornaments and added the Ice Stickles glitter glue.



I measured the inside of the gift card holder and the cut out for the gift card, I cut the pink patterned paper and glued it down using my adhesive.





After completing the outside cover and the inside of the gift card holder, I added some more pattern paper, ribbon, tree cutouts from one of the sheets of paper, and glued on some chipboard cutouts. It was a very simple project to complete.
